About ReaderVerified: Trusted Author Feedback Without the Games

The book review game is rigged. You pay more, you rank higher. We want to change this – and that’s why we built ReaderVerified. Designed by authors for authors, it makes selling your book simpler, sharper, and even a little fun. At its core, ReaderVerified is about trusted author feedback – honest, Amazon-verified book reviews that help writers grow without the fake fluff.

Why Author Scored + Verified Reviews, works better than the Five Star Review System.

Please start all your Amazon verified reviews with,“My ReaderVerified Score is ___ %.”

The five-star system is antiquated and dumb, to be honest. Just think about it, most books receive a four or five-star review on Amazon, unless they are truly awful. Using ‘mean scoring’ that is somewhere between 80% to 100%. I haven’t read many books that I would give a 100% score, have you? That’s why we are starting something new. In addition to the star ratings that Amazon insists you follow we are going to additionally rate the books we read with a mean score between o% to 100%.

Examples:

  • A Five Star review is scored 91% to 100%
  • A Four Star review is scored 80% to 90%
  • A Three Star review is scored  60% to 79%

That’s why our approach delivers honest, constructive feedback that authors can actually use. And if a book scores three stars or lower, the review should stay private, with feedback sent only to the author.

We prefer that you do not submit a review of three stars or less. Simply write a constructive review and submit it to [email protected] and we will pass it on.

You still earn a review credit, but no public embarrassment for the author.

Above all, we want to build trust and help each other succeed. If you think that’s corny, maybe this isn’t the right website for you.
