About the book

Originally written in 1894, this is the first English translation of the book Dharma O Pujadi Mimangsa by Sri Panchanan Bhattachatrya, a direct disciple of the Kriya yoga master Sri Lahiri Mahasaya. Panchanan Bhattacharya was the chief disciple of Lahiri Mahasaya and the first to be given permission to initiate others into Kriya yoga. Dharma O Pujadi Mimangsa was a book given to Kriya students before their official initiation as a way of deepening their understanding. The book covers a wide range of subjects from pranayama, meditation, sadhana, social issues, right conduct for a yogi and the true meanings behind the sacred ancient Vedic texts. Essential for Kriya yoga practitioners who wish to fully understand the original Kriya yoga of Lahiri Mahasaya. Also included is Bhattacharya's unique interpretation of the Ashtavakra-Gita.
