5.0 out of 5: stars MacGyver Lives, Hoorah!

My ReaderVerified score is 96%. Kirk Voclain's Double Exposure is an exciting, fast-paced spy novel starring Reed Sawyer. Posing as an undercover photographer, Reed makes himself disappear as a common photojournalist traveling on a routine photo shoot. But there is nothing routine about him or his mission. Like one of my favorites, MacGyver, Reed uses all sorts of gimmicks and gadgets to stay out of harm's way and complete his real mission.
This novel leans heavily into photographic double-talk like a message from his organization, PPI, telling him that he's "in the frame." Which, of course, really means, he's in danger and others are watching. Throughout his mission, Reed keeps you on the edge of your seat, pages turning with heightened expectations.
Novelist Volcain has a natural storytelling gene that shines on every page!
